Community Health Assessment (2021)
How can our community become a better place in which we all of us can live, work and play? It begins with an initiative to better understand the healthcare needs of those living here in the Metro Region.
The Community Health Assessment (2021) is a follow up to similar studies conducted in 2011, 2015, and 2018. This is a systematic data-driven approach to determining the health status, behaviors and needs of residents in Douglas, Sarpy, Cass, and Pottawattamie counties.
Subsequently, this information may be used to inform decisions and guide efforts to improve community wellness.
This assessment was compiled by speaking directly with community residents through a random health survey, consulting with community leaders and using existing data sources. It is designed to have wide benchmarking potential at the state and national levels, as well as to Healthy People 2030 targets.
