Activate Youth for Mental Health is a program being implemented at two Omaha Public Schools to increase mental health literacy in students, staff, and families. This program is made possible through funding from Maternal Child Health and aims to reduce mental health crises for students.
This program is designed to have three arms of outreach:
– Student Mental Health Literacy Education using a Mental Health Curriculum implemented school-wide at our pilot sites.
– Adults-supporting-students Mental Health Literacy Education using curriculum offered to school staff and parents.
– Student-led, building-level stigma reduction campaign designed by and carried out by students with support from The Wellbeing Partners and school staff.
